Introduction

Meet the LinkPower 1 — a compact, high-efficiency power bank designed exclusively for the Starlink® Mini. With a 99Wh battery, LinkPower 1 delivers over 4 hours of continuous runtime so you can keep your internet connection alive even in remote locations.

LinkPower 1 supports USB-C bidirectional power delivery. The USB-C port delivers up to 65W of output by default, perfect for powering your phone, laptop, and other USB-C devices. It can also power the Starlink Mini while charging itself via the USB-C port — ensuring uninterrupted operation when you need it most.

A simple long press of the power button turns the DC output on or off, which in turn powers the Starlink Mini on or off.

Note
Before using LinkPower 1 for the first time, you must activate it. See the Setup section below.

What’s in the Box

Device Overview

The LinkPower 1 has the following ports and controls:

Warning
The DC port is for output only. Do not connect any DC power adapters to it — doing so may damage the device.

Setup & Activation

  1. Place the Starlink® Mini face down on a flat surface (be careful not to scratch the face). Remove the kickstand if used.
  2. Unpack the LinkPower 1 and plug the included DC-to-DC cable into the DC port on the LinkPower 1.
  3. Plug the other end of the DC cable into the DC port on the Starlink Mini. Ensure the plug is fully inserted so the plug face is flush with the DC port surface — this guarantees a secure connection.
  4. Plug an external USB-C PD power supply into the LinkPower 1 to activate it. The LED on the power button lights up, and the Starlink Mini powers on automatically (its LED begins flashing).
    After activation
Once activated, you can remove the external PD power supply.
  5. Gently slide the LinkPower 1 toward the Starlink Mini until you hear a click — this confirms a secure mechanical attachment.
  6. Setup is complete. You can now use your Starlink Mini as normal, powered by the attached LinkPower 1.

Charging

To charge LinkPower 1 — and simultaneously power the Starlink Mini — connect an external USB Type-C PD power supply to the LinkPower 1’s Type-C port. Pass-through charging means there is no interruption to your Starlink connection.

Use as a Standalone Power Bank

When you don’t need it for Starlink, LinkPower 1 also works as a regular USB-C PD power bank. Plug your phone, laptop, camera, or any other USB-C device into the Type-C port — output is up to 65W by default.

Status Screen (LCD)

Press the power button once to turn on the 1.47″ LCD. The full UI shows battery level, estimated runtime, and live power readings:

When the DC port is enabled, the LED indicator on the power button gently pulses.

Manually Controlling the DC Port

You can manually enable or disable the DC port — which in turn powers your Starlink Mini on or off.

  1. Press and hold the power button for at least 2 seconds.
  2. The LED quickly flashes twice to confirm the action.
  3. When the DC port is enabled the LED gently pulses; when disabled the LED turns off.

Shutting Down LinkPower 1

If you don’t plan to use LinkPower 1 for an extended period, you can shut it down completely to preserve battery life and health.

Using the Web App

PeakDo provides a browser-based Web App for fine-grained control of LinkPower 1 over Bluetooth — power limits, scheduling, and expert settings.

Supported browsers

Prefer a native iOS experience?
The community-built LinkPower Companion app on the App Store gives you a fully native iOS UI — Live Activities, Lock-Screen widgets, and reliable BLE auto-reconnect — without needing a third-party browser.

Access the Web App

Open https://pwa.peakdo.ca/link-power-1/ in a supported browser, or scan the QR code on the back of the LinkPower 1. The Web App can also function offline after your initial visit.

(Optional) Install the Web App

For a more integrated experience, you can install the Web App as a Progressive Web App (PWA), giving it a launch icon on your desktop or Home Screen.

Connect via Bluetooth

  1. Tap the “Connect to a device” button in the Web App.
  2. Your browser scans for nearby LinkPower 1 devices and lists them. Select Link-Power-1 to pair.
  3. If the browser lacks Bluetooth permission, tap Update permissions and choose Allow all the time.
Pairing PIN
Some advanced or sensitive actions require pairing. A random six-digit PIN appears on the LCD screen — enter it in your OS pairing prompt. If no PIN is shown, use the default PIN 020555. You only need to pair once unless you remove the LinkPower 1 bond from your OS settings.

Some advanced actions (marked with a shield icon) are hidden by default. To reveal them, open the three-dot menu and check “Expert Mode”.

Native iOS App — LinkPower Companion

If you’re on iPhone, the simplest way to monitor and control your LinkPower 1 is the free, open-source LinkPower Companion app. It speaks the same Bluetooth protocol as the Web App but with a native iOS UI.

Troubleshooting

The Web App can’t find my LinkPower 1

  1. Make sure LinkPower 1 is activated (plug in a USB-C PD adapter). The Bluetooth icon at the top of the LCD should be highlighted white — not green or dim grey.
  2. Confirm Bluetooth is on for your computer or phone:
    • Windows: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → make sure Bluetooth is on. Click Add deviceBluetooth and wait for Link-Power-1 to appear.
    • Android: Toggle Bluetooth on and look for Link-Power-1 in Available devices.
  3. Use a supported browser (Chrome / Edge / Opera on desktop or Android, Bluefy on iOS).

A previously paired device doesn’t show up

In some situations, a previously paired or bonded device may not show up in the device list. Unpair or remove the bondfrom your operating system’s Bluetooth settings, then try again.

The pairing PIN doesn’t work

A random six-digit PIN should appear on the LCD when pairing. If no PIN appears, use the factory default: 020555.

FAQ

What is the LinkPower 1?

The LinkPower 1 is a 99Wh portable power bank from PeakDo, designed specifically as a battery backup for the Starlink®Mini. It mounts directly to the back of the dish via a 1/4″ screw thread and provides ~4 hours of continuous Starlink runtime.

Do I need to activate the LinkPower 1 before first use?

Yes. On first use you must plug in a USB-C PD power adapter to activate it. Once activated you can remove the adapter; the LinkPower 1 will run from its internal battery.

Is there an iOS app?

Yes. The community-built LinkPower Companion on the App Store gives you a fully native iOS interface with Live Activities, widgets, scheduling, power limits, and Demo Mode (no device required to explore the UI).

Is the LinkPower 1 waterproof?

It is rated IPX4 — splash-resistant from any direction, but not submersible.
